We know how an academic institution actually runs
Our advantage is not the number of modules. It is the time spent implementing them inside business schools and universities, against real regulations, examination rules and audit requirements.
Higher education only
The software is built for academic institutions and nothing else. Relative grading on a curve, elective bidding, exchange students, summer internships and executive programmes are part of the product because the institutions we work with needed them.
Institutions stay
Our published order history for 2000–2016 shows the same institutions returning: ten orders from MDI Gurgaon between 2003 and 2016, six from IMT Ghaziabad, five from IMI New Delhi, four from BBAU Lucknow. MDI's own letter dates its use of the software to 1999–2000. See the order history.
Your staff hold the controls
The admission form, scoring criteria, fee structures, grade scales and curves, elective rules and feedback forms are set by your own offices, not by a change request to us.
Every change leaves a trace
Marks are moderated and adjusted with a record of who did it. In the accounts, a posted entry cannot be edited, only reversed. That is what an auditor or an accreditation team asks to see.
Hosted or standalone
A hosted service for one institution or a group, with each institution's data kept separate, or a standalone deployment for a single institution. The choice follows your procurement and data policy.
Implementation is part of the job
Migration, integration and department-by-department training are planned with you, not left to you. See how implementation works.
OLT ERP and a typical campus ERP
This compares what our software does with what is commonly offered. It does not describe any named product; ask each supplier you are considering the same questions.
| Requirement | OLT ERP | Worth asking any supplier |
|---|---|---|
| Elective allocation | Bidding rounds with a points budget, minimum required bid and live positions, as well as selection windows with rules. | Is allocation by bidding, or only first come, first served? |
| Grading | Relative grading on configurable curves, with moderation and adjustments recorded. | Can grades be curved, and is each adjustment attributed? |
| Executive education | Dedicated module: batches, sponsor nominations, GST invoicing, QR-verified certificates. | Are short programmes handled separately from degree programmes? |
| Admission form | Form builder operated by the admissions office. | Who changes the form when the cycle changes? |
| Accounts | Double-entry ledger with immutable postings and period control. | Are balances stored, or worked out from postings? |
| Deployment | Hosted or standalone. | Can it run for a single institution on its own? |
| Transcripts | Verifiable by a third party on a public page. | How does an employer confirm a transcript is genuine? |

A published teaching case
A & S Software: Evolving Business Models, by Nittala Sreenivasa S. Sharma and Sangeeta Shah Bharadwaj, was published by Ivey Publishing on 3 February 2015 and is distributed through Harvard Business Publishing. It describes the development of our educational ERP and the business models around it.
View the case on the Harvard Business Publishing store
The case is an Ivey Publishing teaching case written by its authors. It is not an endorsement by Ivey, Harvard or the authors' institutions.
What we do not claim
You will not find outcome percentages, uptime figures or certification badges on this site. Where we state a result, it is one an institution put in a signed letter, and we show the date.
Test it against your own requirements
Bring the workflow that causes the most difficulty and we will show how the software handles it.
